NetworkManager Bug in Ubuntu 18.04

In the latest version of Ubuntu it is possible that some devices may not work correctly with EDUROAM due to a NetworkManager Bug.

To solve this bug it is necessary to edit the configuration file and add some parameters as explained below:

Info
titleEdit configuration file
gksu gedit /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

Info
titleAdd to the end
[device]
wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=no

Info
titleRestart the computer or in any case the NetworkManager from a terminal
sudo service network-manager restart

Additionally, there are some USB devices that do not manage energy savings well.

This can be solved by editing the following file:

    /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf

It is necessary to modify the parameter to '2'

         wifi.powersave = 3

it will become:

         wifi.powersave = 2
