Relay live video.

The MMedia server allows the live broadcast of events using software that sends the video signal from the user's computer to the multimedia server of the UV, being the one in charge of sending this TV broadcast to as many viewers as they connect to the URL of the event.

Any user PDI / PAS of the UV, can realize a broadcast in direct using his own computer, with his equipment multimedia and the software that recommends the SIUV emitting towards MMedia.

Recommendations.
The Servei d'Informàtica recommends using the Adobe Media Live Encoder software (Free), which once installed and configured will send the video signal from our computer to MMedia to spread it over the Internet.

There are other programs (usually paid) that also allow you to send the RTMP video signal to MMedia and that we have successfully tested. For example XSplit Broadcaster.

It is available for Windows and Mac OS operating systems (English language)

How does it work?

To make a live broadcast of the audio / video signal that we have in our computer will be necessary 2 fundamental steps:

Create a LIVE event in MMedia.

Install and configure the Live Encoder software on our computer.

Once the Live event has been created in MMedia, we will only have to install and configure the software in our 'issuer' computer. This software will even allow us to record the event on the computer for later viewing / publishing.

We will provide the URL to our "viewers" and can access our broadcast the day and time of the event. You can also access the broadcast by doing a search of the event on MMedia.uv.es.

Additional Information.

Our broadcast can be seen by thousands of people simultaneously from computers and devices that have Flash Player installed (currently almost all computers) and updated.
