(EN) How to change my photograph in the UV profile?

From the virtual secretariat any user can see his photograph. This photograph will be the one that is displayed from any application of the UV with this feature. You can search (examine) if there is a photograph already available for a profile and / or upload a new photograph and update the existing one.


There are two different options in the virtual secretariat to treat our profile photographs.

1 - Examine the best picture .

This option is available to anyone with UV credentials.

It shows us the photograph that the person sees at that moment in all the applications of the UV, whether it has been uploaded from the virtual secretariat or from any other application of the UV. 

If the photo shown is not the last one or it is not shown, it is because there has been some problem when loading it in all UV applications. Even if the file has been uploaded to our systems, the photo may not have been updated in all UV applications. 

This option serves so that if it has been the case that the photo has not been updated, we can do it.



As you can see on the screen this person is not shown any photograph, this may be because no photograph has been uploaded or because even if a photograph has been uploaded, it has not been updated in all UV applications.

By clicking on "Browse photograph" the application will search if this person has uploaded a photo and if it finds it will update it for all UV applications.



2 - Change my own photography

This option is only available for personnel linked to the Universitat de València and its foundations.

With this option a person can upload the photo they want to be displayed in all UV applications. 

This option appears in the 'Personal' menu and on the home screen of the virtual secretariat under the photograph for people contractually linked to the UV and its foundations.



From the "Select file" button we can upload the photo that we want to show.


We are shown the characteristics that the photograph must have to upload. We can download a manual to cut / resize our photograph.


If the photograph complies with the size and resolution conditions, it will be uploaded to our systems and updated for all UV applications.


If on the contrary there is an error, it will be indicated.


If the photograph is uploaded correctly but it is not updated it can be for several reasons. In this case it is convenient in this case to go to the " Browse existing photo" option so that the application will check if there is an uploaded photo for that person and update it.
