(EN) PASSWORD - Alternative media recovery procedure

If you have not entered your alternative contact data for password recovery (alternative email, mobile phone), then you must inexcusably follow this mechanism: 

 

  • I don’t have an alternative recovery email or phone number. What should I do?

    If you have a digital certificate, simply go to http://cuentas.uv.es and use the certificate to identify yourself in the system. Then, access the “How to contact me” section and enter your alternative contact details so you can try the recovery process again.


    If you do not remember your username or password and you do not have a digital certificate, you must contact technical support to verify your identity:

    • +34 963 86 42 00 (CAU – available all year)


    The technical staff will open a request and inform you of the next steps.


    Do I need to go in person?


    In some cases, for security reasons, it will be necessary to verify your identity in person.
    You will need to go to a service desk with:

    • Original identity document (ID card, NIE, or passport).

    • Request number (the ticket identifier provided to you).


    After verification, the necessary data will be activated so you can recover your password online.


    Why is so much information required?


    To prevent identity impersonation and protect your personal data.
    For this reason:

    • Passwords are not provided by phone or email.

    • Requests made by third parties are not accepted.


    How long does the process take?

    • Online recovery: immediate.

    • Recovery with support: depends on verification, usually the same day.
